Progress…

So here is what the kitchen looked like before…not the ugliest place in the world of course, but cheesy enough to go through the work of re-doing it. I was not so much digging the 70′s finish, flat-front cabinets.

We could not have done this without my parents. They rocked it. Dad (who knows how to do all things manly) came over every single evening after working all day and helped with all the painting.

Here is what the room looked like as a 70% Recyclable Kitchen…

Let me tell you – that masking was no picnic. Dad thought he was going to use a paint sprayer, so we had to be ridiculously meticulous with the masking. Then the paint sprayer didn’t work right and we rolled the cabinets anyway. Oh well.

Ahhhhhh….look at that! The kitchen looks about 5 times bigger than before. Hoorah!
There’s still masking on the floor and countertops in this photo, but you get the gist. I’ll have prettier pictures later.

Time to unpack some boxes. Last night, we actually got to sleep in our home for the first time. Life is good. Happy weekend to you! And for the first time in 22 days, I’m going to RELAX this weekend!
UPDATE:  I apologize, the images did not successfully transfer from the old blog to the new one.  You can, however, see all the Before&After images in my Flickr album HERE.
