I’ve been having this strong craving for film.
I converted to digital a couple years ago, and I absolutely love it. But lately I have been missing that excitement I used to get all the time when I had to wait for the film to develop… there is definitely something magical about that.
So, last week I got out my old Canon F1. It’s all dusty and scratched up, and the shutter doesn’t work quite like it should. But it still functions alright. I snapped my old macro lens on her and went in the backyard.
I shot a whole roll, all with the macro lens, and was blissfully happy. I love crawling around on my belly, looking for tiny worlds in moss and flowers.
I got those pictures back today, after waiting impatiently
. I love their imperfection. I love all the dust specs and scratches and blurryness. I think they’re beautiful.
I’ll be posting more of them. I hope you enjoy them
.
