Puppies are Not Children…

But they sure are hecka cute.  Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Heather España is blogging about puppies.  What is happening to the world?  Let me explain. So, a couple days ago Mike and I were just going along happily in a child-less, animal-less lives, and then out of nowhere – I literally cannot remember how we...

cherice - We started with a cat, because I think a baby is actually easier than a puppy! I mean, you can put a diaper on a baby…and people help pay for stuff a baby needs (and give you hand-me-downs) so they don’t actually cost that much for the first year, and they have insurance so you don’t have to pay too much for doctor bills (besides paying the insurance part!), and they grow up and get out of the poo stage.

But then again, puppies don’t wake you up five gazillion times in the middle of the night, they don’t breast feed or spit up or cry or have to be held to get anyplace. They can already walk, and they can eat by themselves and they can stay at home by themselves if you want to go on a date.

So it’s a toss-up. =)

Plus puppies are incredibly cute! I hope your deciding goes well, and we’ll look forward to seeing the puppy when we get home in a few weeks, if it exists. (That sounds very existential, but you know what I mean.)

Xenia Kathryn - Oh my goodness! I love corgis!!!!! I hope you get one :) We’d be some happy neighbors, for sure! And we’ll help out anytime, too. That’s so sweet about Mike and his bonus.

We are feeling better now. Shortly after you visited on Monday I got threw up too… then Steve came home and got sick. So I’ve been keeping my distance. But hopefully I’ll see you soon :)

Sherry - I just happened to catch a glimpse of you and Mike hanging out around the Critter Cabana storefront the other night (as I was driving by) and had this curious thought…maybe you were shopping for a puppy.

maile - thank you for the comment on the blog, and link here. Your mom is stunningly beautiful. Here’s to many more photos of moms!

Xenia Kathryn - How funny! Yesterday I was uploading some photos from the weekend, and my sweet husband (who never takes pics of me unless I ask him to!) sneaked two precious photos of me holding Vasilia on the couch. They were such a sweet surprise– I didn’t even know he was taking pictures of us! Even though the angle wasn’t that hot, and I look chubby and hugely pregnant, I still love it.

Great photo of your mom! You’re so talented :)

Bliss…

sarai - Hey Heather,
Don’t know if you know who I am… but I know Mike… I stumbled across your blog awhile ago (maybe from a link of Brandon’s?…) Anyway, I’ve just started playing around with photography a bit and have been enjoying your pics–especially all the color! Best to you and Mike!
