retro mustard yellow can | thrift shop find | June 08
My mom hates mustard yellow. Almost as much as I hate houses painted in mint green [um, like ours]. I really don’t blame her because she grew up in the original age of mustard yellow and avocado green, and actually even I had to live in a mobile home with those colors everywhere. Even our bathtub and toilet were avocado green… anyway, I digress.
My point is, I like mustard yellow in the right context. And the above bin would be one of those “right” things
. I think it’s fabulous. And I found it at the Thrift Shop for only $6. I don’t know how old it is, or what it was. Someone suggested a diaper pail. We don’t have a need for one of those yet, so it’s going to hold dirty laundry in the bathroom… the dirty laundry that, until today, has been tossed on the floor
.
Three cheers for mustard yellow!

Xenia Kathryn - that is pretty rad! Toss your debris (or diapers or dirty clothes) in style!
