Batman: The Dark Knight | The España-McGeehon Review

Mike is 29 and I’m 25.  Sometimes it feels like we’re still in Grade School because we just get SO DARN EXCITED about such dorky things.  And I’m not ashamed. You rock that mask, hon.
So we went to the midnight showing of Batman: The Dark Knight.  We waited in line for over two hours.  Yup.  We came prepared with Uno cards. We hung out with all the High Schoolers in Joker makeup, and waited just as imaptiently for our Cameo Theatre man Dave to open up the doors.

Here is our in-a-nutshell review: amazing, amazing movie.  Not light-hearted. EXTREMELY dark.  Finally someone did it right.  The Joker is not supposed to be twisted comedic relief.  He’s supposed to be completely and utterly terrifying, and Heath Ledger totally pulled it off.  He WAS the Joker. It is a gritty, long [though we didn't notice the length] and psychologically fascinating film.

We give it four thumbs up!
