I got a call a few months back from the sweetest voice. It was Janet, telling me she was looking for a photographer for her August wedding. She was in Idaho and wouldn’t be in my area until the week of the wedding, but was interested in hiring me.
We got to talking, and discovered we are both part Guatemalan. Both 25. She was adopted from Guatemala, and my brother was adopted from Guatemala [where my dad is from]. Her mom’s name is Cindy. My mom’s name is Cindy. Her fella has red hair, my fella has red hair. The list goes on. I love it when clients become friends! She decided to book me, and on Saturday I had the great pleasure of photographing her and Eric’s amazing wedding in Tillamook, Oregon.
Janet started college determined not to date anyone. But after a night involving salsa dancing and getting lost, she and Eric became friends and “the rest is history” as they said.
