Ethan & Laura | "Day Before" Session | Sneak Peek

UPDATE!  CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE SLIDESHOW [more favorites!].

Oh my goodness was this ever a fun session at the Deepwood Estate in Salem, Oregon.  I met Ethan and Laura through Freedom Friends Church.  They’re getting married next month, and didn’t want to have to stress about getting pictures done the day of.  That’s where a “Day Before” session is super spiffy.  I had such a blast with you guys!  I’m so looking forward to the wedding.

Despite not being huge fans of having their pictures taken, we had a great time and they were just awesome.  Well, how could you not be when you look… so….rad

We did some shots with Laura’s sun dress, but this is the “real” one.  It was made in the 1950′s! Her mom and her mom’s mom wore it before her.  Hardly anybody does that anymore, and I think this is so cool… I love the sepia on this.  It looks like a true antique photo, don’t you think?

Gorgeous…

Maybe it’s the light…maybe it’s the clothes…maybe it’s the expressions…maybe the slight blur…

I don’t know.  I just really like this picture.

Maybe THIS one is my favorite…

No, maybe THIS one…

I love this mischievious smirk…

And the red stockings again…

I was trying to pick my favorite and I just can’t do it.  YOU pick.  Which one’s yours?

NEW PHOTO by Request!  If you see below in the comments, Ethan protested that he had requested robots and light sabers in the photos of he and Laura.  I strive to please my clients, so here you go Ethan!  As requested!

Tim - Some of the photos certainly evoke a time past. Heather sure seems to be an effective photographer. I often
envy the finished work of photographers.
A photographer might be something like a scribe of images. It is a place of considerable honor and responsibility as I see it.
I think the photos encouraged me into another spate or attempted spate of reading Shakespeare. The hold
on a person’s notice that the photos or an admittedly happy struggle through a few stanzas of one of the
bard’s plays seem complimentary.

Anonymous - Truly beautiful – both the bride and the pictures. Great job Peggy and Heather for your accomplishments, respectively!
Barbara C aka Grandmother Turtle

Nikki - Love the sepia toned wedding dress shot, but my favorite of them together is…of him kissing her forehead in the trees. :) Can’t wait to see the actual wedding pics! Looks like it will be FUN!

Anonymous - I love the sepia-toned one of Laura from the back. It’s absolutely lovely.

Ethan - I suppose I approve. But where are the robots and lightsabers? I was promised robots and lightsabers. Does that just take longer? In that case, could you have us fighting Cthulhu?

I love the pictures. My socks are slightly uneven, but that’s ok. The pictures are wonderful.

Noël - these are amazing! i love the colors and the texture! the expressions on their faces are just amazing….twue wuv!

Anonymous - Mwuahahahaha!
Trust me – for a Trash the Dress session she would have been IN the creek ;) .

-Heather España

Laura - Holy crudbunnies. um, i think i like the one from the back the best, the one with the train. but yeah, i also like them one with the smirk, and the one where im on his lap. oh dear…

Peggy Senger Parsons - ok – I am now glad that I was exhiled to the parking lot and did not see that you had her in trees down by the creek.

bad form to “Trash The Dress” before the actual wedding.

Thank you thank you thank you

Anonymous - Peggy, I think you get the prize for fastest blog commenter! I hadn’t even navigated away from the page after posting yet, and there you were! ;) I hope they are happy tears :) .
