Canon 5D – Review

Wahoo!  Okay, here are a couple of videos.  The first, Mike and I freaking out about holding over $1,000 dollars in cash to buy my new camera.  I’d been waiting for SO long for this day to come, so pardon me if I keep talking about it.  I’m just so pyched and so blessed to have a husband who is so supportive of me.

I noticed there was only one video on You Tube that kind of discussed an upgrade from a Rebel to the 5D, so I made one.  It’s not great, but it’s something.  I’m not used to seeing/hearing myself yet.  I feel like I sound snobby. I’m don’t mean to, but if I do I’m sorry!  I don’t have a real camcorder yet, and iMovie doesn’t let you edit PhotoBooth videos.  But anyway, here you go in case you’re interested.

I went out in the backyard to do some test comparison shots between the Canon Rebel XTi and the Canon 5D.  Here are the results.  I’m completely blown away!  These were done using the exact same settings, the exact same lens, and do not have ANY post-processing done on them at all.

Look at that!  It looks like I had a filter on, or at the very least upped the saturation in PhotoShop.  The clarity is delicious, and the details stay crisp even when I zoom way in.  Yum!

Okay, I’ll stop now.  Sorry.  I just had to geek out for a few minutes.  I’m super stoked.
