Bedroom: Before & After

Should I have a separate blog for all my Home/Design/Organizing stuff do you think?  I’ve thought about it — then again, I’ve tried having more than one blog before and didn’t dig it so much.  Same thing with journals.  But I am open to ideas!

Anyway, I’ve been busy over here – trying to take advantage of this gorgeous weather.  I did a lot of work on our rental outside, which I will show you soon, but first a “Before & After” of the bedroom.  I’m doing this now, because – now that it’s done – we have to move this room!:) It’s going to be converted into a home office, so my husband doesn’t have to work in the dining room anymore.  I wanted to get pictures before everything is turned upside-down again.

This is what it looked like with the former renters.  There were towels hanging over the window, and a pale mint green wall.  It was pretty dark.

We did pure white semi-gloss on all the walls and the ceiling, so it’s really reflective and bright.  [Star Lanten: Sorel's. Bed Frame: Craigslist find. Red Lamp: Thrift Shop find, repainted and with a new shade. Duvet: IKEA.  Sheets: Target.]

And I FINALLY got the closet organized, now that I have to move it;).  At least that will be easier now!

Happy Monday to you all:).  I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Joel - Nice! Do you have a second profession? =)

Nikki - This is so fabulous! You are such a multi-talented gal! Could you add thrifty interior design to your resume? And could I hire you to do something with my bedroom?! :O)

Good stuff!

P.S. I so love how your books are organized by color. :O) So fun!

alisa - YAY! i have little house radar…and every season on dvd.

Heather España - Alisa – correct :) . Those ARE the Little House books on the top shelf, and they are commpletely falling apart. My mom read every single one of them to me when I was little :) .

alisa - okay….so it looks like you have little house on the prairie books on the top bookshelf next to the mirror and the camera…but i can’t quite tell. and there are only 8 books pictured and there are 9 books in the set but it totally looks like it. am i right? i’m going to be obsessing about this for hours you know.

i did see the brother’s K. so that makes me happy. oh, and the room is pretty too :)
