Micah’s Night Senior Session | Oregon Senior Photographer

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, can I just say how much I love my job?  I love it when I get clients like Micah who want to do something really creative and edgy for their session.  It’s these kinds of challenges that make me fall in love with photography again and again.  We brainstormed a night session for him, and he came up with the lightbulbs-in-the-tree idea…definitely some of my favorite images from the evening.

We did a whole session in the daytime as well, and I will show you a Sneak Peek of those soon…but the night ones were just so much fun, I had to show them to you first.  I won’t get into the technical details here, but if you’re curious about behind-the-scenes lighting just click on any image and it will take you to my Flickr page where you’ll find more info.

Micah was a total natural.  Super fun to photograph.

This was a fun lighting experiment – the colors look edible.

Micah’s lightbulb tree.  Amazingly, these images are lit entirely by 3 100watt bulbs! Nothin’ else.

Definitely a fave.

And for kicks, we did some flashlight painting.  This is a long exposure, lit only with a flashlight.

Thanks again Micah!  This was a total blast.

More soon!
