Words for 2009

I finally had a chance to sit down, journal and find my words for 2009:).  As I mentioned in a previous post, my words at the beginning of 2008 were WELLNESS and DARING.  It amazed me how helpful it was to have those two words to hang onto and to try to embody through the year.  I liked it so much that I’m doing it again this year.  You should try it.  It’s fun!

I chose BRAVE because that’s what I want to be in my business and my life.  I DARED to leave my job as a photographer’s assistant and devote myself full-time to my own business.  Now I want to be BRAVE and keep diving in, headfirst — “suck the marrow out.”  I hope the word will give me little pushes out of my comfort zone all year.

I chose JOY — partly for obvious reasons and partly for more subtle ones.  One of the main reasons though is that I am finding JOY in simple little things I have not been able to bring myself to do in a long time – doodling, painting without caring, hand-stitching imperfect little things.  I hope to revel in that and keep carrying JOY through the year.

On a different note, I am making it a goal to blog as close to every weekday as I can this year. Eeek!  Feel free to keep me accountable;).  And let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see or read about.  Thanks!
