Thankful | Oregon Photographer

I get impatient in January.  Holiday sessions are over, and wedding season hasn’t begun… my old boss at the photography studio where I worked used to schedule vacations along this time of year.  Usually in warmer climates like Mexico or Hawaii.  I know why… it’s to help ease the photo-shoot withdrawals.

Though I can’t afford a round-trip ticket to Puerto Rico, I am extremely grateful for all this lemon-yellow sunshine that’s been streaming through my windows.  I am thankful I had a mini vacation with my husband — we mostly stayed home, talked, read, watched movies and extra features.  It was delcious.  I am thankful for our new president of the United States.  And I am very thankful that wedding season starts on Valentine’s Day for me this year.
