Ryan + Tulip were married at the Virginia State Arboretum on Saturday, October 24th.
Fact: It was the rainiest, wettest wedding I have photographed to date

Fact: Ryan and Tulip met at a game when it was pouring down rain, and Tulip shared her umbrella with Ryan. So it’s pretty appropriate for them to be married in the rain under umbrellas. . .

Tulip’s daughter was adorably impatient for this part. She was SO ready for mama to get married.
And this is my favorite shot of the day. Like I said, rainiest wedding ever!

I love these arches. They proved both gorgeous AND practical in that they could keep the bridal party dry. And thanks to the various people who held an umbrella over my head so I could shoot!
The rain broke just briefly enough to venture out from under the roof.
They were walking normally, and then Ryan had a musical moment.
