I struggle with how personal to be on my business blog, especially since I try to keep it photo-centric! But I am happy to share with you if you are willing to listen
. Suffice it to say, I have been on a very long journey to losing weight. I’ve worked hard but been unable to get very far, and never quite feeling at my best due to a number of symptoms. I recently began working with a nutritional therapist, and have learned I’m highly sensitive [and highly addicted!] to grain, gluten and sugar.
I am on day four of a 2-week detoxification diet, and a complete lifestyle change. Now that my liver and other organs are beginning to be able to function as they should, I have lost 9 pounds in the last four days. I am learning so much new information about how to cook, and about myself. It’s definitely not easy right now! But I’m greatly encouraged, after so long of not being able to get anywhere.
I’m thankful that my wonderful job as a photographer allows me to take this time in the winter to focus on healing. I’m so excited to enter the new wedding season with even more energy and joy!

Julia Cuellar MARTIN! - Heather,
I’m so glad to hear that although things have been upside down…they seem to be flipping back to the upside!!! You are wonderful and artistic and amazing and even though I was a client for a year, I feel like you are a dear friend! Good luck with everything!!!!!
