Where to begin? Let’s just say Carrie has had a huge impact on my life, and all in a good way. As many of you know from a previous post on the subject, my health has been a big project for the last three years [well, longer really]. The first two years were extremely difficult, and very frustrating. I was on very limited calories, doing rigorous hour and a half workouts at the gym almost every day. I had a list of symptoms as long as I am tall, but could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong. I was doing what you’re “supposed” to do: eat less, exercise more. After two years I had little to show for my efforts, and I actually felt sicker than when I started. I started working with Carrie, and changed – quite literally – everything. She is so encouraging, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. I have been working with her for almost nine months, and am blown away by how many of my symptoms were linked to food.
Needless to say, I was honored to be able to photograph Carrie! She needs some new photos for her business, so we met up in her little garden. You can get an idea of how she practices what she preaches: I didn’t tell her I wanted to do a basket of food. These are all fresh fruits and veggies she already had in her house.
