What a sweet wedding this was! Full of good friends, big trees, pie, bubbles and bluegrass. It was perfect for Ross and Andrea’s nature-loving and kind spirits, and a great way to end a wonderful 2012 wedding season!

Andres+Samantha | Atticus Vineyard Wedding

I seriously don’t even know how to put into words how awesome this wedding was. I’m more of a pictures person, as you know. Suffice it to say, Andres and Samantha are the bee’s knees. They are so genuine, and bursting with happy-fun-time. Combine those two with the splendorous skills of Tami of Champagne Events, Guy & Ximena of Atticus Wine‘s gorgeous venue, the mad violin skills of Wendy Goodwin & company, the mind-blowing rad-ness of Hit Machine who played the reception, and you have yourself a slam-dunk of a good time.

There was laughter, good food, friends, family, and a toasty bonfire. I just love this family, in their matching converse and their big grins. It was a wonderful day! I feel really lucky that I got to meet all these wonderful people, and be a part of it.

Matt and Kelsey had such a sweet, heartfelt wedding. I got teary during the ceremony AND the reception! Everyone had such well-thought out, beautiful things to say. Scott and Kelly live on one of the coolest compounds I’ve ever seen, hidden away in the forest in Florida. I love the way they live their lives, the community of people they’ve built around them, and the awesome friendship they have with each other. They were so much fun to be around!

[behind the scenes]

We had some pretty crazy weather. Downpours, light sprinkling, sunshine and rainbows. While it messed with our schedule quite a bit, it made for some beautiful images. Look for the ones where it looks like it’s snowing — not Photoshopped. Just rain. How do I shoot in the rain? A hands-free umbrella. It’s super sexy. The bummer about the weather was that the reception got moved inside the barn, but it all worked out. It was an amazing day!

More behind the scenes? Okay. After the reception was over, Rachel and I needed to psych ourselves up for the two and half hour drive back home. Shooting for ten hours, you get pretty tired. So we both brought comfy pajamas to change into, and then we spun around in crazy circles outside while looking at the stars. After almost falling on our faces a couple times, we got in the car and drove home.

And that, dear blog lookers, is how I ended the 2011 wedding season.

Ken+Alethia | Mt.Hood B&B Wedding | Part 1

I think this Mt.Hood Bed and Breakfast wedding will have to be blogged in at least three parts. It was an absolutely amazing day! I got to have Rachel as my second photographer [always wonderful. She made the last image in this post], a beautiful moody-weather-ed day in Parkdale Oregon, super awesome clients and equally awesome vendors.

This is Ken and Aletheia. They had that glorious engagement session at Powell Butte Nature Park back in the Spring. I seriously love hanging out with these people. They are hilarious, laid back but super organized, creative, and they enjoy life. All those things + me = big happy grin.
